MTD uses CNC work centres that allow to carry out high speed milling over a wide range of material. Machine fleet is composed of 8 work centres (last generation 5-axis machine), joint by an automatic robot arm rail that manages production in 24/7 condition.

Two of 8 work centres are equipped with rotating table that allows to carry out combined milling and turning, using 5-axis in continuous way, allowing a huge possibility of machining in extremely short times thanks also to the various tools equipped with zero points which allow a rapid and precise piece gripping.

Due big flexibility of CNC machines and their several tools, MTD is able to carry out several milling strategy, from recovery milling using spherical cutters (hard-metal tool having Ø 0.1 mm) to drill heads with inserts for heavy cutting and deep drilling with diameters 2mm by 30x the diameter.

Studies carried out over time and the experience gained in the field have made it possible to achieve a high level of quality: increase in the degree of surface finish, reduction of processing times and optimization of processes, making them safe and reliable.
